Big Milestone!

After bragging about her almost rolling over I noticed Madeline trying to sit up on my lap after her morning bottle. So I put her on the floor with her boppy and she just sat up. WHAT!?! When did this happen? I am not ready for her to grow so fast but I am really proud of her. Way to go baby girl!

We have a garage!!

Framing began yesterday Sept. 29th. This is the garage and a cowboy.

Movin' and a groovin'

I put Madeline on her play mat and ran up stairs to get her clothes. This is where I found her when I came back. She is trying to roll over already, and I say already because Gaven didn't roll over until he was almost 7 months old. She has been a little cranky and drooling like crazy so I think a tooth is in our very near future. Jeremy is not looking forward to it because she is already a little drama queen.

Full Night Sleep = Happy Baby

This is a picture of Madeline in the morning after a wonderful night sleep. She has learned to find her own nukie and put it back in her mouth. God bless the hand eye coordination.

1st Cereal

Madeline had her first taste of solids. She did great and really seemed to like it. Then we had her Dr.'s appointment and he said to wait until she turns 6 months. So we will come back to fun with solids at a later date. But she seems to be growing just fine with out it. At her 4 month check up she was 14lbs. 11 oz. (66%), 25.5 inches (84%) and 15.75 inch nogin (18%).

Dirty Kid??

Is this one dirty kid or what? Not really, I accidentally threw too many bath colors into the tub. Bad idea, it is very hard to think your baby is clean while pulling him out of black tub water.

Breaking Ground

Well, I know this is a old news but Mr. Ike put me a little behind. On September 1st we finally broke ground on our new house. On September 2nd bulldozer work began and the 150 dump trucks paraded down the street. Here are a few pics of the beginning.

Gaven started Mother's Day Out on Wednesday. He was so excited to go back to his "old" school. I went to pick him up a little early and stood in the hall listening to them finish up there story time. Then each child stood in front of the class and said their name and their favorite thing to do. When it was Gaven's turn he said his name loudly and then the teacher asked him what his favorite thing was he said....Are you ready?.......
BEING WITH MY MOMMY!
My eyes filled with tears and when I looked at the other 2 Mommy's in the hall their eyes were teary too. I have the sweetest boy in the world!!!!!

Big night alone

Monday September 1st was a big day in the Mayfield household. We began construction on the new house, Madeline turned 4 months old and spent the first night in her own room. She did pretty good. She has been sleeping all night for about 2 months until tonight. She never cried but she fussed for her nukie every 20 minutes from 3:00am to about 5:00am and that is when I brought her back to our bed. I guess she needed a little reinforcement that Mommy was still close. Tuesday night she did very well, she slept until about 6:00am and then I brought her to our bed and we slept until 9:00am. But last night she slept all night long!!!! No nukie, no fussing, just sweet dreams. She did start to wiggle around 6:00am but her eyes were still closed so I just left her alone and she fell back asleep until 7:45am. Madeline you are a wonderful baby girl!!!!

4 months old!!

Madeline turned 4 months old Monday September 1st. She is really developing an adorable personality. She is so different than her brother was at this age. She is very demanding and has a little temper. She also holds grudges like her Mommy and she does not like to be hot at all. But she is also precious and sweet. She smiles all day and talks nonstop, except when I have the video camera. Happy 4 months baby girl!!!

Last night in the cradle of love

Madeline spent the last night in Mommy and Daddy's room on Sunday night. As you can see it is getting a little cozy in her cradle. I think I am ready for her to go in her big girl room and crib. We'll see how tonight goes.

Madeline and Daddy

Madeline is starting to warm up to her daddy. I knew one day she would figure out how wonderful he is to be around. But I do think Jerm has been taking advantage of the fact that Madeline wasn't to keen on the idea of him. She doesn't want me to hold her....feed her....rock her....change her diaper....bathe her....dress her....pack her bag....make her bottle....give her a nukie.

Closing day

On Friday we finally closed on our construction loan for the new house. While we were waiting for Jeremy to finish in the office so we could leave Gaven took a few pictures of me and Madeline. He is getting pretty good.

Heads up

Madeline finally enjoys tummy time. She no longer lays face down crying in her blanket. She looks around and seems as proud of herself as her mommy is. Good job sweet girl!
